For the first time Judo and Bodybuilding will not be part of Team Fiji to the Pacific Games in the Solomon Islands later this year.
This has been revealed by Chef de Mission Ajay Ballu during his media brief at FASANOC .
He says these two sport had some issues that could not allow them to be part of the contingent.
“The sports that are not going are bodybuilding – they have a governance issue, they did not have any AGM and it is a rule with FASANOC, if you don’t comply with it, you can’t go. The other one is Judo who missed the bond payment deadline.”
Ballu says all federations had been informed well before time of the regulations and deadlines and they will not be lenient this year.
He confirms that the nation will be represented by 27 sports at the Honiara Pacific Games that will be held in November.
