An exciting and even more action-packed season of Super Rugby Pacific is instore for Fijian Drua fans as draws for season 2025 are released.
For the first time, Fiji’s favourite team will host the Brumbies on home soil. It will also be the first time for the Drua to host defending champions Blues and former champions the Crusaders in the nation’s capital.
The new season will also witness the return of the fourth ranked Chiefs after two years, along with top sides like the Queensland Reds, NSW Waratahs and Western Force.
The new season will see themed rounds like that Kids Round in Week 5, ANZAC Weekend in Round 11 and Culture Round in Week 3.
The 2025 draw sees the 11 teams playing 14 matches during the regular season, consisting of 11 round robin matches and three additional rivalry clashes, followed by a six-team finals series. The Drua made it to their second quarterfinals last season, in only their third year in the competition, but 2025 is shaping up to be the toughest and most exciting season yet.
Fijian Drua CEO Mark Evans said: “The release of the 2025 draw marks the start of our fourth Super Rugby Pacific season, and we are excited to bring 7 top quality matches to Fiji again. The people of Fiji are the world’s best fans, and they deserve to witness their Drua take on some of the world’s best teams and players right here at home.”
The Fijian Drua will kick-off the season at home against the Brumbies at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva on 15 February. The side is then away for two weeks, facing the Hurricanes in New Zealand on 22 February and the Waratahs in Sydney on 28 February.
Glen Jackson’s men return home to host the Chiefs on International Women’s Day, in Lautoka on 8 March, before heading back to Australia to face the Brumbies (Canberra) on 14 March and Western Force (Perth) on 23 March.
The Drua will have a Bye-Week on Round 7, before returning to host the Crusaders in Suva on 5 April. The Highlanders will host the Drua on 12 April (Dunedin).
The Drua will host the Waratahs during the long Easter weekend, in Lautoka on 19 April in a rematch of their golden-point win from 2024.
The Clash of the Pacific will take place in Round 11 against Moana Pasifika on 26 April.
The Fijians will be back on home turf for three home matches in a row. The Drua play the Queensland Reds in Suva on 3 May and a week later, take on the defending champions Blues in a Friday night thriller on 9 May, also in the nation’s capital.
The team will then play their last home match in Lautoka against the Western Force on 17 May. After their second bye-week, the Drua will play their final regular season match against the Reds away in Brisbane.
