U.S Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo Thursday met with fijian Prime Sitiveni Rabuka while participating in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum in San Francisco.

During the meeting, Secretary Raimondo reaffirmed the Department of Commerce’s commitment to enhancing our economic ties with the Pacific Island Countries, and Fiji in particular, as part of the Biden-Harris Administration’s Indo-Pacific Strategy.

The Secretary also thanked the Prime Minister for Fiji’s leadership and contributions to the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF).

In addition, Secretary Raimondo and Prime Minister Rabuka discussed other opportunities for collaboration and capacity building to strengthen the U.S.-Fiji trade and investment relationship.
