The Oceania Athletics Association (OAA) has announced Majuro, Marshall Islands, will host the Oceania Cup from 14–18 June 2027.
The competition will be held at the National Stadium in Majuro, a venue that successfully hosted the 2024 Micronesian Games and will now welcome some of the Oceania’s best athletes for one of Oceania Athletics’ premier competitions.
The Oceania Cup brings together top athletes from across the Pacific in a unique team-based format, representing regional teams and competing for the Oceania Cup trophy.
Marshall Islands Athletics Federation President Bobby Zed said the opportunity to host the Oceania Cup was a significant milestone for the nation.
“Iakwe, For years, our athletes have traveled across the Pacific to represent the Marshall Islands. In 2027, we will have the honour of welcoming the Pacific to Majuro.
“We are incredibly excited and humbled that the Marshall Islands has been selected to host the Oceania Cup 2027. This is more than a competition. It is a chance for our young people to see international athletics in their own backyard, for our athletes to compete in front of family and friends, and for us to share the culture and hospitality of the Marshallese people with visitors from across Oceania.
“Kommol tata to Oceania Athletics, World Athletics, the Government of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, our traditional leaders, the Marshall Islands National Olympic Committee, and all our partners for believing in our vision.
We look forward to welcoming Oceania to the Marshall Islands in June 2027.”
The Oceania Cup has become a showcase of regional pride and rivalry, with athletes competing not only for individual success but also for team honours.

We are excited to showcase the talent, culture and spirit of our area while inspiring the next generation of athletes in the Marshall Islands and across the Pacific. Athletes will contest a full track and field program, including the popular mixed 4x100m and mixed 4x400m relays, which have become highlights of the competition.
The Oceania Cup also provides opportunities for Para and Masters athletes, with competitors from across the Oceania region set to join the event in Majuro.
The Oceania Cup 2027 is expected to attract athletes, coaches, officials and supporters from across the Pacific, delivering a week of competition while showcasing the culture, hospitality and spirit of the Marshall Islands.
The Oceania Cup 2027 is supported by the Republic of the Marshall Islands Government.
