The Fiji Schoolboys U18 defeated their Australian counterparts for the second time Tuesday, winning 34-25 at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.
Following last week’s 26-14 loss to the Fijians, the visitors were looking for redemption.and made a strong start to lead 10-0 via a converted try and a penalty.
Fiji Schoolboys replied in style and scored three tries through Waisake Vakacere, Raymond Navunikaba and Ratu Epeli Roseruvakula while Isikeli Bari kicked a penalty as they took a 22-10 lead at the break.
Australian Schoolboys entered the second half more determined and piled up ten more points to narrow the deficit to only two.

Fiji School Boys Under-18 captain Samuela Tuidraki acknowledged discipline issues as a lingering concern despite their impressive back-to-back victories over the Australian School Boys in their Test series.
Tuidraki said that tightening up their game is crucial as they look ahead to future challenges, highlighting the importance of teamwork in addressing these issues.
“We definitely lacked discipline but the message relayed to the boys was for us to reconnect and they managed to get the job done and this makes me so proud of them.”
Despite the victory, Fiji’s captain is determined to lead the team in improving key aspects of their performance.
