Nauru Airlines has appointed Wendy Bowden as its new Chief Executive Officer, saying she will lead the airline’s next phase of growth with a focus on strengthening regional connectivity and partnerships across the Pacific.
In a statement, the airline said Bowden brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in aviation, travel and tourism, including 12 years with Nauru Airlines as Chief Financial Officer.
The airline said Bowden returns with “a clear vision to strengthen our airline, expand connectivity throughout the Pacific and continue building meaningful partnerships that support our communities.”
It said Bowden places a strong emphasis on people and teamwork.
“Most importantly, Wendy is passionate about people. She believes great airlines are built by great teams, strong relationships and a shared commitment to serving the communities that rely on us every day.”
Nauru Airlines said it looks forward to working with Bowden as she begins her new role.
“As Wendy begins this new chapter, we look forward to continuing our journey together and building an even stronger future for Nauru Airlines.”
The airline invited the public to welcome Bowden as she takes up the position of Chief Executive Officer.
