ANZ today announced that Rabih Yazbek has been appointed ANZ’s Head of Client Coverage for the United Kingdom and Europe and will conclude his role as Country Head, Fiji, in early April 2026 ahead of his relocation to London.

Rabih has played a pivotal role in strengthening ANZ’s presence in Fiji and the Pacific, guiding the business through Fiji’s post-COVID recovery and delivering strong growth across both the Commercial and Retail Banking segments.

Under his leadership ANZ Fiji deepened relationships with key clients and stakeholders, accelerated its digital banking agenda and delivered strong home lending growth. His focus on developing local talent and championing sound risk management has positioned ANZ Fiji as a resilient business, well placed for future growth.

ANZ Pacific Regional Executive Sarah Stubbings said: “Rabih has made an outstanding contribution to ANZ and the Pacific region. His leadership has not only strengthened our business but also supported Fiji’s economy through a critical period of recovery and growth. Rabih leaves behind a legacy of deep customer relationships, strong regulatory engagement, and a values-led culture that will serve us well into the future.

This is a fantastic and well-deserved opportunity for Rabih and a testament to everything he has learnt and contributed during his time with us. The ANZ Fiji team are immensely grateful for his dedication and wish him every success as he takes on this exciting next chapter in his career.”

Rabih Yazbek said: “It has been a privilege to serve as Country Head for Fiji and to work alongside an exceptional team that is deeply committed to supporting customers and communities across the Pacific. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together. While I will miss Fiji and the many relationships built over the years, I am excited for the opportunity to help strengthen ANZ’s presence in the UK and Europe and continue contributing to the bank’s international growth.”

ANZ is currently working through the next steps regarding the appointment of a new Country Head for Fiji. In the meantime, it is business as usual for ANZ in Fiji, and the bank remains committed to supporting customers, staff and stakeholders across the Pacific.

Fiji remains a key part of ANZ’s international network. With over 140 years of service in the Pacific and a 10-year presence and guarantee arrangement with the Australian Government, ANZ’s commitment to the region remains unwavering.
