Members of the Fiji 7s Men’s team are set to receive $20,000(US$10,000) each from the Coalition Government after winning a silver medal at the Paris Olympics.
This will be based on the incentive programme approved and announced by Government in June.
Under the incentive programme for the 2024 Paris Olympics, gold medalists would receive $50,000(US$25,000), silver medalists $20,000(US$10,000) and bronze medalists $10,000(US$5,000).
Meanwhile, Fiji Gold, a beloved brew since 1995, Monday unveiled a special edition can in partnership with the Fiji Rugby Union.
This unique release marks the first of its kind, celebrating Fiji’s unwavering passion for rugby and its deep-rooted connection to the community.
The launch highlights Fiji’s robust rugby platform, encompassing everything from grassroots development to national teams, the Flying Fijians, Fijiana, and the celebrated 7s team.
