The reinstatement of Fiji’s ousted minister for education Aseri Radrodro may take six months, a year or the end of the four-year Coalition Government term, says Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka.

In an interview with the Fiji Times, Rabuka said there was no time frame as he reiterated that he does not tolerate nor condone such behaviour from Cabinet Ministers in defying his orders.

He said he had made such decisions in his last term as prime minister where he suspended Cabinet ministers in his past Soqosoqo Vakavulewa ni Taukei party that was in power in the 1990s.

He confirmed receiving the resolution document from SODELPA leader and Minister for Tourism Viliame Gavoka and they had a long discussion.

Meanwhile, ousted Education Minister Aseri Radrodro visited Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka at his residence this morning to present his traditional matanigasau or apology.

Rabuka confirmed that Radrodro’s family had arrived and were at his home.

He said a matanigasau has its place in the iTaukei culture but not in the Government and legal system.
