The Flying Fijians are ramping up preparations their semi-final clash against the USA in the Asahi Super Dry Pacific Nations Cup.

After topping Pool A, the Flying Fijians are set to take on the USA, who finished as runners-up in Pool B.

The team has reconvened in Nadi following their decisive win over Tonga, resuming training with a focus on the upcoming challenge.

While the squad reports no significant injuries, they will proceed without centre Adrea Cocagi, who faces a four-game suspension due to a red card received during the Tonga match.

Coach Mick Byrne remains optimistic about the team’s capabilities.

“I don’t know whether there’s a ceiling in this squad as they’re a very talented team,” said Byrne.

The match is slated for 10:05 PM Fiji time this Saturday at Chichibu Memorial Stadium in Tokyo, Japan.

Meanwhile, Japan, the leaders of Pool B, will face Samoa in the other semi-final on Sunday, September 15th, at 6:05 PM Fiji Time, also at the same venue.
