Premier Indian Health care institution to provide high quality services to Tuvalu and Fiji

A leading Indian Healthcare Institution- BLK Super Speciality Hospital has taken an initiative to provide world class high quality treatment to the people of Tuvalu and Fiji.  
 
The Hospital is in process of signing a MoU with Ministry of Health, Tuvalu to strengthen the ties between the two countries.
 
Recently, the Prime of Minister of Tuvalu, Enele Sopoaga visited India and during his tour he also met top medical experts of BLK Super Speciality Hospital wherein more than 100 patients from Tuvalu and Fiji had undergone treatment for various serious ailments of the Heart, Kidney, Liver and Spine.
 
The Prime Minister was welcomed by Dr Mradul Kaushik - Director at BLK Super Speciality Hospital. Sopoaga deliberated and discussed on mode of collaboration with his country for providing better medical services to his people and neighboring Islands of Fiji.  The meeting paved the way for an agreement between Ministry of Health, Tuvalu and BLK Super Speciality Hospital for setting up the Dialysis centre in the country. Details of collaboration would take a final shape with the signing off the MoU in near future.
 
Dr Mradul Kaushik, Director, BLK Super Speciality Hospital said, “Our eminent doctors visit Tuvalu and Fiji on a regular basis to provide super speciality consultations through various OPDs and other outreach programmes. A large number of patients from these countries also visit India to avail medical services. Last year, we had treated more than 100 patients from Fiji for various ailments like Renal Transplant, Liver transplant, Spinal deformities and cardiac surgeries and various other surgical treatments.”
 
“We are indeed delighted to welcome the Prime Minister of Tuvalu at our Hospital. Under the proposed agreement, apart from providing the best medical care, we will also offer training assistance to their doctors, nurses and paramedic staff with aim to strengthen their knowledge and skill base,” he added.
 
Over the years, BLK Super Speciality Hospital has entered into various agreements with several African countries as well for bilateral collaboration and regularly organizes medical OPDs at their hospitals. The Hospital provides high quality services which are normally not available in countries such as Tuvalu, Fiji, Kenya, Ethiopia and Sudan. “
